Dr. Jodi Elliot, D.O.

Do you commute on the Seward Highway past Beluga Point? Do you always see the same young woman standing at the lookout, staring into the water?
Congratulations - you've spotted Dr. Jodi Elliott, our most recent addition here at APG! Call her a whaleholic or a whalephile, but Dr. Elliott makes no secret of the fact that she moved to Alaska to be closer to whales and other marine life. Please contact us if you see her riding an orca's dorsal fin. We think it's illegal.
An Indiana native, Dr. Elliott has blazed an impressive career path to APG.
She earned her college degree at the University of Southern Indiana, then
graduated from Missouri's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After completing her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan
in Detroit, Dr. Elliott served for four years as a general pediatrician in
Alexandria, Minnesota, then spent three years in the Pediatric and Neonatal
Intensive Care Units in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Dr. Elliot's worst childhood illness?
"Chickenpox. I was four years old and it was very itchy! My
parents duct-taped mittens to my hands to stop me from scratching."
Her turn-offs? "Snakes! Just on other
reason I moved to Alaska."
Her advice for patients and families?
"Live Love and Laugh! Enjoy every minute you have together, even the hard
times. It all goes so fast."
Her favorite part about being a healthcare
provider? "Enjoying the innocence and imagination of children. It keeps
me in touch with my inner child."
Her interests? Dr. Elliott enjoys aerobics, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and training her dogs.
