Welcome to the Anchorage Pediatric Group.

Anchorage Pediatric Group (APG)provides medical care for infants, children, teens, and young adults. We offer a wide range of services from immunizations, annual preventative care physicals, and same day urgent care visits to no-appointment-necessary Triage Services 24/7 to help you determine whether you should seek medical care immediately or if some encouragement and guidance may be all that is needed. All types of appointments are available Mon-Friday.  We are also open on the weekends and most holidays for urgent appointments and to keep your family from waiting around at the ER.
The staff at APG has been serving Alaskan children and families for over 60 years.
This Web site provides directions, contact numbers, and information about the great people you'll meet at APG!
Please contact (907)562-2423 for further assistance.
Our office is located in the "U-Med District" within Providence Hospital (5th Floor A Tower).

Registration Packet for all Families

If you would like to complete the registration ahead of time, here is our short two-page Registration Form that we will need from you at your first visit to our office.

Seasonal Allergies!

Oh my goodness! Fairbanks, Anchorage and pretty much everywhere in between are seeing record breaking pollen counts - Birch pollen to be specific. Alaska Dispatch has reported that Fairbanks broke its record Monday with a birch pollen count of 4,290 and the World Record pollen count was recorded in Denmark 2014 with 4,696. With a scale that shows 175 as the high end, pollen counts have literally been off the charts lately and causing people who don't even have allergies or asthma to have breathing problems.

So what is one to do? APG's handout on Seasonal Allergy Treatment.

Basically, treatment for allergy symptoms involves suppressing the histamine release in the body. This can be done with oral antihistamines (liquid or pills) which work throughout the body. Specific symptoms can be targeted with topical antihistamines; eye drops, nose spray, etc. Visit the link to our handout for more information on what is available out there.

Shot Records for School or anything else

If you are looking for a copy of your Shot Records, please give us a call and select option #3 to leave a message for Medical Records. We typically are able to get these ready within 24 hours, so just let us know what you need.
Please be sure to include the child/children's Name & Date of Birth and tell us how to get it to you. We can send it to the school(we've got their numbers), your fax number, your email, or hold for pickup.

Patient Portal

Our first attempt at a Patient Portal has not worked out quite as we had hoped. We are certain you will find this New and Improved Portal much easier to navigate and will provide easier access to your children's health record, to ask questions, and to even see your upcoming appointments. To gain access, we must send you an invite and are typically doing this at your appointment. If you have not received an invite, please give us a call and the front desk will be sure to get that out to you.

Walk-in Shot Clinic is 8:30am - 11:30am.

APG has the Flu Vaccine as both the Flu Shot and the Flumist In Stock Today!

If you are over 19 years of age, please call our office before coming in, due to the State Provided Vaccines, we must follow specific guidelines that are given to us and may not have the vaccine available for your depending on what your Insurance Coverage is. We apologize for the inconvenience.

This clinic is for established patients only, we are unfortunately unable to extend 'shots only' visits to individuals who have otherwise never been seen at our office. This is due to the risk posed by giving a vaccination with no personal or family background which could indicate allergies and other reasons not to give a particular vaccine. We are more than happy to establish you and your family as a new patient, but it takes an initial visit to complete this (vaccinations are available at the initial visit if needed)
