COVID-19

Anchorage Pediatric Group supports and agrees with the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC for children ages 6 months and up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as directed by the FDA. We are currently offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination to all of our patients 6 months and older. Call our office for more information!

Other vaccine locations and options can be found here.

What is APG doing to mitigate risk?

  • We are reassessing our processes and procedures daily as things change. Currently we have implemented the following:

    • Implementation of more stringent cleaning: common areas are wiped down at least 2x daily, exam rooms are wiped down between visits.

    • We are rooming patients as quickly as possible.

Are there cases in Alaska?

APG stands with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in the condemnation of racism of any kind. We understand that it may be hard to talk to children about this issue but it is important. The following are some resources for parents:

Establishing healthy habits in early childhood is key in overall health. The providers at APG recommend early oral health care with an American Board Certified Pediatric Dentist (search here to see if your current dentist is ABPD certified).
